The first weekly blog 1.29.20

Hello Friends,

How are you today? In this section of our platform we want to connect with you, have you get to know our brand, the people behind it all and learn a thing or two about something. Maybe something powerful, maybe something silly and weird, or just something good; we hope! If you follow us on instagram we posted our 2020 word for this year and we will expand a little bit more on that here. Our word for this year is GROWTH. I thought about what this word means to me and how do we get to where we want to be. I think that for this business to grow we have to connect in meaningful ways. And to connect we must share a little bit of ourselves to find something relatable to feel like we can trust whoever we are connecting with. So, I realized that that's ME! Haha You have to get to know the people behind the brand to be able to trust them and that word isn't taken lightly in a lot of people's mind. However, let's try to connect and get to a place where there is trust so we can grow this business and make an impact together.

Here we go! A couple fun facts about this business

1) We were created in 2018 and have gone through many ups and downs. As an Entrepreneur you really go through all the cycles. Feelings of self doubt, discouragement, frustration, uncertainty, excitement, motivation, sense of belonging etc. You name it. If there are entrepreneurs out there who feel like all is 100% good and great all of the time then I'd LOVE to meet you. Like, for real! The past 1.5 yrs has been an adventure and I wouldn't change it because there have been many things that I have learned, but we also have recognized to name our mishaps, recognize what to do & not to do and move forward. You have to keep moving forward!

2) This is a one woman operated business! Now, I don't say this to get a pat on the back, but I do say this to try to connect with other one person operated businesses out there. I know they exist! We really have to help each other out and support one another to keep going. I can't express how many times I have had a moment of doubt and wanted to give up doing this, then out of nowhere I meet a person who owns their own business, and shares a part of their experience that inspires me to keep going. So, cheers to all the ones who are hustling, who are doing it all, you got this! Don't give up just because someone says you did it wrong or you should do this instead, which sometimes feels like a slap in the face, but surround yourselves with people who will support your dreams.

Recently, I had this friend share with me a quote that has pretty much changed the way I think forever and maybe you will feel as inspired by it as I do.

I am learning every day to allow the space between where I am and where I want to be to inspire me and not terrify me.
-Trace Ellis Ross

There are so many moments in life where we feel like we need to be doing this or that to be of value and we ask ourselves how come I am not there, how come I don't have this or that. And we get stuck on comparing, how come I am not as smart as them with their business or good at this or I feel like a failure. Well, I am here to tell you that you aren't any of those feelings, let them go and try to find inspiration in where you are. We all want to be somewhere else or some "there" idea, but try to let our space now be what inspires us to act and do what we want in life. Stay tuned for our next weekly blog...

Peace, love, good vibes
