Free templates galore, yes please!

Hi there,

Can you believe it’s been almost 7 weeks since shelter in place orders (for Bay Area,Ca) was enforced!?

I am curious about how everyone is doing mentally and if we can relate with each other..

This will be a short, sweet and to the point post.

I still have days where I don’t know what to do or feel or think. I’ve lost income from two jobs, and had to deal with other personal matters, and it makes me so nervous to think about the future. Luckily, I still have one job that’s keeping me afloat so all is good and I’m incredibly thankful for that. However, this whole not knowing how to plan for this Summer or even Fall gives me anxiety. I am a planner and I like to be prepared for things to come even if it’s just to mentally prepare. Part of being an introvert for me is knowing or at least having an idea on what to expect. So as to not always give you the deer in the headlights look or appear rude because sometimes I’ll just be silent or walk away and it’s not you. I just need to figure out what to do, please be patient and give me space or grace if this happens. I most likely still really like you and want to talk, it is just sometimes I can’t respond because I don’t know how to yet. This helps us to know what to do and how to cope or respond.

Over the years I’ve learned that things change and they can change often, especially in the field of social work and that’s ok, that even if something doesn’t work out as planned that I am capable of adapting and moving on without a major anxiety attack or panic attack. And so are you! I believe that anyone can learn how to adapt and be flexible, and know that you can also get through the tough days.

Although that part of coping with change has come with a lot of practice in reacting in ways that don’t work with various people and learning from those situations to do better the next time.

Don’t beat yourself up if you mess up or make a mistake, we are human and are not perfect.

There is this quote that I love to repeat to myself when I have a hard day of feeling like I did everything wrong, and it goes like this,

“As long as you do better than yesterday, then you’re ok and if not, well fuck it and let that go.”

But for real, this whole not even having an idea on what to plan or expect is unnerving. So I’ve created free things for you and me that might help you with your quarantining planning. Read on my friend to see what you can get for free...

And I’m really just overthinking here and I need to calm down? It’s OK, you have permission to be honest and tell me, but preferably in a nice tone that I’m overthinking. I respect when friends can call me out on my shit, however, it’s generally the tone in which it’s delivered that affects me most.

So if someone says “hey what’s wrong with you, you’re wrong, stop being stupid and overthinking.” I might not take it as well as if someone said, “you have valid feelings and it’s ok to have those thoughts, but from this perspective I think that you’re overthinking a little bit. Have you thought about this perspectiv?” See how different that is?

Well, if you can relate to me at all, I’d love to hear from you and connect. I’m definitely getting better and used to virtual hang outs so if you want to have a meet and greet via zoom, preferably with coffee or a boozy beverage. Let’s do it! Just give me a heads up so I can prepare. Ha
