Whipped Coffee, Tutorials & Tik tok , OH MY!
What has everyone been up to? I hope you are all taking care of yourselves and not too stressed out like the first couple weeks of shelter in place. Hopefully some things are coming into balance for you and you are finding a new rhythm. If you are still in high stress mode,
this is your reminder to breathe,
call a friend to talk or someone you trust to talk through your inner thoughts/feelings, begin to practice self care and remember this isn’t going to last for forever.
Honestly, I think I am still trying to find that balance, but hanging in there. The not knowing how to plan for the coming months really freaks me out, but we will get through this. I have good days and bad days. Today is a great day! I am focused, energized by coffee and skittles and feeling hopeful.
What about you?
I thought I’d do something fun and new for this post. I hope to bring you all something you can try at home or on the weekends to help with shelter in place.
Here are a couple coffee recipes that I’ve been wanting to try and/or mentioned them in my newsletters. To which I send out monthly! If you want to be part of that you’ll get a coffee discount for subscribing and I’ll send you the code once I get notified of you joining. Click here.
Let’s get back to our recipes and tik-toking shenanigans.
Ok, have you heard about whipped coffee?
Super trending right now! I had seen this recipe on TikTok so I decided to try it out and make my own Tik Tok video. Refrain from judging how close up my review video is.. LOL. still figuring it all out.
Check it out and let me know if you had the same kind of reactions as I did to trying this new recipe.
I also had tried this recipe out with my own signature coffee beans, but it didn’t get frothy, like, at all. So It was a failed attempt. I probably should have recorded that attempt because it was pretty funny and awkward. We just kept shaking, swirling, and shaking and nothing was happening except coffee getting swirled around.
Here is how to do it the right way, this recipe and the steps are super duper easy!
Anyone can do it!
The first recipe is Whipped Coffee
2-3 tbsp instant coffee
2 tbsp hot water
8 oz almond milk
3-4 cubes of ice
Fill cup with ice and almond milk
In separate bowl whisk together coffee, sugar and hot water until it froths
Once you get the frothy or creamy texture then pour it over the iced almond milk
GET YOURSELF A BABY HANDHELD MIXER FOR THIS. UNLESS YOU WANT TO HAVE CARPEL TUNNEL AFTERWARDS…
Let us know what you think!
Tag us in your video and we will send you a free lil’ bag of our special coffee beans.
The second recipe is blended Coconut Cinnamon Coffee
3 tbsp ethically sourced ground coffee (this is for 8oz pour over brew method)
to make 1 cup of coffee
2 tbsp coconut oil
Stevia (I prefer honey or raw sugar, but you can use what you like best for sweetener)
2 tbsp honey
2 tsp Cinnamon
3 tbsp Almond Milk
*Most of the amounts will depend on your taste buds. So if you like it less sweet then do less sweetener. This is just a base to start from.
Make your coffee- it can be cold or hot (however brew method you like- pour over, drip, cold brew etc.)
Pour coffee into blender once it’s cooled down a little
Add in coconut oil, sweetener, and almond milk
Blend well or until it gets frothy and voila!
